Rostro Financial Group-owned Scope Markets has strengthened its leadership with three new appointments: James Hughes as the Group Head of Marketing, Joshua Mahony as the Chief Market Analyst, and Antonia Drousiotou as the Head of Brand.

New Appointments at Scope Markets

Hughes has been promoted internally, while the other two were new hires who bring many years of industry experience to the new roles. Hughes joined Scope Markets in December 2019 as the Chief Market Analyst and, prior to the latest promotion, he was the Head of Brand and Chief Market Analyst. His previous collective role was distributed between Mahony and Drousiotou.

“Following the acquisition of Scope Markets by Rostro Group, the business has been undergoing a series of changes to ensure that we’re well positioned for our future growth ambitions,” said Hughes, who has already taken on the new role.

“Part of this is building out a team of knowledgeable market experts across the globe to help our customers achieve their full potential. Josh will be instrumental in helping deliver this initiative in conjunction with Antonia.”

Mahony joined Scope Markets from the London offices of IG, where he spent eight years, most recently as a Senior Market Analyst. He has been in the financial services industry since 2010 and has worked for Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital. Additionally, he spent more than a couple of years at the London offices of Alpari as a Research and Market Analyst.

Moreover, Drousiotou comes from the retail trading industry and previously worked with forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker Skilling.

Executive Moves at Scope Markets

Under the stewardship of Rostro, Scope Markets saw several changes in its management. Most recently, Pavel Spirin became the CEO of Scope Markets, following the appointment of John Murphy as the Chief Revenue Officer.

“2023 is set to be an exciting year for Scope Markets,” Spirin said. "With the new team now very much in place, we are confident that under the ownership of Rostro Group, we will continue to deliver against our ambition of becoming the financial service provider of choice in the many markets we are operating in.”
