Tradimo, an online financial educator based in Denmark, announced on Friday that it has launched a new programme to educate students about the derivatives market. People that take the Derivatives Nanodiploma course will then be able to sit Deutsche Boerse’s “Certified Derivatives Trader” exam.

Tradimo’s course, which is also certified by Deutsche Boerse, is aimed at any individual wishing to gain a professional qualification in derivatives.

According to the firm, it will also help back office staff, people on Dealing Desks and management at banks and brokers who want to enhance their derivatives knowledge in order to maximise on relevant business opportunities.

For some, the concept of a Nanodiploma may be a familiar one. Tradimo has developed similar programmes for options trading, investing and the foreign Exchange market.

As with these other programmes, the new Nanodiploma is obtained through studying an array of online educational materials that can be completed whenever the student wants to access them.

Tradimo noted in a statement released on Friday that the course contains 110 modules and will be taught by industry experts such as Gerhard Bauer who was Head of Deutsche Boerse Capital Markets Academy from 2009 to 2017.

Having completed Tradimo’s online program – which can be done within the participant’s own time frame – course graduates have the option to take the aforementioned “Certified Derivatives Trader” exam at a Deutsche Boerse office.

Graduates with this qualification can be registered as a trader for a Eurex member company. A statement by Tradimo’s founder and CEO, Sebastian Kuhnert, indicates that this may not be the last course that the Danish company builds that will connect students with institutions.

“As our business evolves, we hope to replicate this certified model with other leading financial organisations,” said Kuhnert. “Our ultimate aim is to make the very best trading education accessible to individual traders and financial institutions worldwide, equipping our graduates with recognised qualifications which enhance their employability.”
