Refinitiv, an LSEG business and a leading provider of financial markets data and infrastructure, recently announced that it has launched a new platform for wealth management firms to help them offer a superior trading ecosystem for their customers.

Dubbed ‘Refinitiv Active Investor’, the newly launched platform will provide advanced technology to facilitate wealth managers in the optimization of their brand identity.

In the latest announcement, Refinitiv highlighted the need for an improved client experience in the rapidly evolving wealth management industry. The company mentioned that the new investors require innovative tools and data for portfolio management.

Commenting on the latest launch, Sabrina Bailey, Global Head of Wealth Management at Refinitiv, said: “In the future, we believe that wealth management firms will need to be able to meet customers at any point along their investing journey, from full service to self-service. The launch of Active Investor expands the toolset for wealth firms looking to connect with self-directed clients in a powerful and personalized way.”

Since the start of 2021, Refinitiv has formed several partnerships with leading international companies. In May 2021, Refinitiv announced a collaboration with IBSFINtech, a leading enterprise solutions provider based in India, to launch InTReaX, a new-age automated treasury management solution.

Despite the global economic uncertainty caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, substantial growth in the international wealth management industry was reported in FY 2020 and Q1 of 2021. Through the latest launch, Refinitiv is planning to support the wealth management industry with an innovative digital solution.

“Wealth firms are focused on building personalized experiences to cater to different investor profiles. With Active Investor, we are offering a solution to help firms deliver a compelling experience to investors who require a complete self-directed platform that has market-leading data, insights and all the tools active investors need,” Charles Smith, Head of Digital Solutions, Wealth at Refinitiv, commented.

In May 2021, LSEG announced that David Craig, Group Head, Data & Analytics and CEO of Refinitiv, will leave the Group at the end of 2021. Furthermore, LSEG announced the appointment of Andrea Remyn Stone as Group Head of Data and Analytics.
