Ideal for Chicago-based traders seeking the fastest connection to Japan markets or Asia-based trading participants requiring low latency access to the US, Pacific Express’s high-speed connectivity will be made possible through the company’s improvements to its network route between these strategic locations.

Once the project is complete in February 2017, the vendor will offer a round trip latency below 120ms between CME Aurora and @Tokyo data centers, the lowest latency connectivity available between the two markets.

In addition, optimizations of the existing fiber optic route would allow Perseus to supply low latency point-to-point and multipoint Ethernet services as well as global market data distribution. It will also enable the delivery of ultra low latency trans-Pacific market data and direct market access services to multiple Liquidity centers in Asia including Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney and Mumbai.

With clients spanning across various sectors, Perseus has presence in over 100 data centers and offers proximity Hosting in over 300 exchanges and trading venues. The company offers a fully managed suite of services across the trade lifecycle as well as many of the world’s fastest market-to-market routes.

Furthermore, the upgraded route will also enable domestic and international market participants to have the fastest network connectivity between London and Tokyo, New York and Tokyo, Chicago and Shanghai, Chicago and Hong Kong as well as Chicago and Singapore.

Jeff Mezger, VP of Product Management at Perseus, commented: “It is in the Perseus DNA to constantly innovate and optimize to meet our clients’ expectations with regard to latency, security and global product expansion”.

“As we have put great emphasis on growing our team and presence in Asia, we are excited to announce this milestone and continue to offer best-in-class service to our global clients,” he added.
