Gold-i announced on Tuesday that it would be promoting two employees internally and bringing in a new, in-house Marketing Manager. The liquidity and risk management software solutions developer claims the new hire and internal promotions are a reflection of its ongoing success.

Julian Elliott

Someone who has had ample opportunity to witness that success first hand is Julian Elliott, who has just been promoted to be Gold-i’s Chief Commercial Officer. Elliott has been with the firm for almost ten years, having joined as operations manager in October of 2010.

Another long-term employee, Chris James, has also been promoted. James joined Gold-i five years ago, as a quality assurance analyst, and moved up the ranks to become a product development manager. Today’s announcement indicates that he has been promoted again - this time to become Chief Technology Officer.

A new role

Along with the internal promotions, there will be a new face at Gold-i’s offices from today. The firm announced that Maria Lopez would take up a newly-created Marketing Manager position. This marks the first time that the software company has had an in-house marketing manager.

Lopez, who will report directly to Julian Elliott, joins Gold-i having spent the bulk of her career with American Express, a financial services firm best known for its credit cards business line. During her time with the firm, she was responsible for brand strategy and digital communications across 19 markets and with more than 60 different bank partners.

Maria Lopez

Higgins commented on the internal shifts in personnel, saying: “We are thrilled to have Maria on board. She has multi-cultural, multi-territory experience and a proven track record in implementing successful marketing strategies and driving growth. Additionally, we have created new roles in support and client services and have recruited a number of talented employees across departments to bolster our team.”
