Markets.com CEO Stavros Ch. Anastasiou has left the company. He is an experienced industry professional who previously worked at FXPro Group as Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Internal Audit, and in Business Development. He also served as Group Chief Compliance Officer at Finalto for over five years.
Experienced Industry Executive
Before entering the forex sector, Anastasiou worked in the professional services industry between 2005 and 2009, at major accounting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte. He served as a Senior Advisor on Mergers and Acquisitions at PwC Greece, following an earlier position as an Audit Senior at Deloitte.
Last month, Finalto appointed four directors to its board, according to a Companies House notice. The appointees are Kar Kok, Hidetoshi Furusho, Chak Yan Leung, and Hideo Haneda.
In 2021, London-listed Playtech plc (LON: PTEC) announced it had reached an agreement to sell its financial trading division, Finalto, to Gopher Investments. The deal, disclosed via a filing on the London Stock Exchange, valued the business at $250 million in cash.

Meanwhile, Markets.com has been expanding its offerings over the years. Last year, TradingView announced the addition of Markets.com to its platform. The company also collaborated with Worldpay to manage global payments processing and fund disbursements.
Around the same time, Markets.com appointed Elena Christodoulou as Head of Europe. Based in Cyprus, she previously served as Regional Manager for the DACH region since joining the company in February 2021.
Before joining Markets.com, Christodoulou spent four years at Tickmill’s Cyprus office as Country Manager for Germany. She began her career in 2008 in the hospitality industry before transitioning into the trading sector.
