Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: IBKR) reported its electronic brokerage performance metrics for September, with client balances and account numbers higher than a year earlier.
Daily average revenue trades reached 4.11 million during the month. This was 6% higher than in September 2025 but 4% lower than in August.
Interactive Brokers has also made several recent changes to its platform and market access. In July, the broker extended its AI account connector to applications including Claude Code, Cursor, Perplexity and Windsurf. It also provided Tickmill UK with access to its multi-asset trading infrastructure.
Earlier in the year, Interactive Brokers added direct access to South Korean equities and introduced local funding options in Latin America through SafetyPay. More recently, it integrated its platform with X Cashtags, allowing users to move from eligible content on X to trading.
Interactive Brokers Client Equity Reaches $965B
Client equity stood at $964.7 billion at the end of September. It increased 27% year over year and was roughly unchanged from the previous month. Margin loans rose to $105.2 billion, up 36% from a year earlier and 4% from August.

Client credit balances reached $186.2 billion. The balance was 20% higher than a year earlier and roughly flat month over month. It included $6.4 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps, which Interactive Brokers said are not held on its balance sheet.
Client accounts reached 5.576 million at the end of September. This was 35% higher than a year earlier and 2% above August.
Interactive Brokers Faced August Disruption
Separately, an August incident involved login and connectivity problems for some Interactive Brokers clients during US trading hours. Finance Magnates independently encountered login issues, while IBKR later said the problem affected “a fraction of a percent” of clients with accounts hosted in certain APAC data centres.
The broker said access was restored within an hour. Interactive Brokers also experienced a similar server-related login issue in March 2020, which affected some clients in the UK and Europe.
