After filling the role of interim CEO for City Index since the departure of Martin Belsham in December 2013, the broker has announced that Mark Preston has been appointed as the company’s CEO. Preston arrived at City Index last October as he was brought to serve as Executive Chairman to work alongside and assist former CEO, Belsham. The exit of Belsham was part of an ongoing revolving door of executives at City Index which also included Paul Cassidy, the company’s Global Head of Marketing, Dan George, Global Head of Trading, and COO, Simon Bird leaving the firm last year.
