How absurd . Presumably a financial analyist which knows very little about a market such as FX which is so incredibly large.

In general it hard for people in the industry to realize that the concept of FX trading (and margin trading) is not trivial at all.
The fact is although it is the most liquid market in the world, it is still a niche market with only 1M customers world wide. (compared to 100M trading stocks).
The true revolution of creating access to the markets is just starting, the ringing bell of FXCM IPO is the start.

I would suggest that the revolution is over, and we – the retail trader have lost. I find it odd that FXCM is going public now, as the regulations just got stickier, and will probably only be worse as time goes one. In fact, given enough time – this stock is a short.
Anyone who has been trading this year has to recognize that volumes are down, and markedly so…..

My God; Are you kidding me, I don’t understand why the production team of CNBC just put the commentators to the air not knowing even that you can trade currencies.. Apparently he does not know forex has a volume of more than 3trillions…
