In a deal that shows just how valued low latency solutions are for traders, high-end trading and market data firm SR Labs announced that it has received a $53 million investment from Insight Venture Partners. The New York based firm stated that it will be using the new funds to fuel its expansion plans in the Asia Pacific and Europe regions. SR Labs trading solutions connect with the world’s leading exchanges as well as established FX trading venues such as Currenex, Bloomberg FX, Citi FX, FXall, ICAP, Hotspot, and Reuters. Clients of the company include leading bulge bracket banks and hedge funds.For Insight Partners, the stake in SR Labs marks the fourth financial services company in their portfolio and follows investments in Micex, acorn systems, and eVestment Alliance.
