State Street Promotes Chris Perretta to Global Head of Enterprise Data
- Mr. Perretta has worked at State Street since 2007, including most recently as its Chief Information Officer (CIO).
State Street has appointed longtime company mainstay, Chris Perretta, to the newly created role of Global Head of Enterprise Data and Technology, according to the WatersTechnology report.
Mr. Perretta has worked at State Street since 2007, having held several senior level roles – this included most recently the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO), which he held until his aforementioned promotion.
In his new role as the Global Head of Enterprise Data and Technology, Mr. Perretta will be tasked with engendering and fostering the group’s overall technology strategy, whilst aggregating State Street’s data and insights for its global clientele. Following his promotion, State Street has added Antoine Shagoury as its Global CIO, who joins the group from the London Stock Exchange Stock Exchange A stock exchange, also known as a securities exchange or bourse represents is a facility where stockbrokers and traders can buy and sell securities.This includes shares of stock, bonds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), or other financial instruments. Prior to joining State Street in 2007, Mr. Perretta worked at General Electric (GE) Commercial Finance between 2002-2007. Additionally, he worked as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at GE Capital and the CIO of GE Retail Financial Services dating back to 1999.
Late last month, State Street made a new hire to its foreign exchange (FX) platform, Currenex, having brought in Daniel Flowerdew as its FX Sales specialist for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. His move to State Street’s Currenex snapped a two-year stint at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML).
