The NZX is losing one of its longtime executives, following the retirement of Chairman, Andrew Harmos at a recent farewell event in the group’s newly renovated Cable Street offices in Wellington, according to an NZX statement.

Mr. Harmos has served for the past seven years as Chairman of the NZX, as well as thirteen years as its Director on the Board. The man tasked with replacing him will be the NZX’s acting Deputy Chairman, James Miller.

According to NZX’s CEO, Tim Bennett, in a recent statement on the unveiling of the new office, “The refurbished office provides a modern, efficient working environment for our team and underlines NZX’s continued commitment to Wellington and our stakeholders here, including listed companies, market participants, co-regulators and industry bodies.”

Earlier this week, NZX Ltd appointed Aaron Jenkins as its newest Head of NZX’s Funds Management business, which constitutes both SuperLife and Smartshares operations. Additionally, the NZX also named Mark Peterson to the Head of Markets role recently vacated by Mr. Jenkins.
