The financial services provider has been relatively quiet in terms of personnel moves at a time when many other firms in the industry are seeing an uptick in hires. Last month, Morgan Stanley recruited Greg Finck as its managing director.

Mr. Haigh joins Morgan Stanley from hedge fund Avantium, having served most recently as its chief executive. He also has garnered extensive experience in EM executive positions at Deutsche Bank.
