  • The promotion fills the group sales seat vacated when Przemysław Wojtyna became the company's first chief commercial officer last week.
  • Walencik will run teams covering Europe, LATAM, MENA and APAC after three years in institutional sales at the firm.

Match-Trade Technologies has promoted Rafał Walencik to head of sales, the trading technology provider said. He takes over the group sales function from Przemysław Wojtyna, who moved up to chief commercial officer earlier this month.

Walencik joined the company three years ago as senior institutional sales, handling brokers and prop firms adopting the Match-Trader platform. He spent the earlier part of a decade-long career in operations and sales roles at Polish brokerage houses.

A Backfill, Not a New Seat

The reshuffle started at the top. Match-Trade created the CCO position and gave it to Wojtyna, its group sales lead since 2021, pulling sales and marketing under one function and leaving his old job open.

Wojtyna said scaling the organization takes "discipline and alignment," and described Walencik as able to turn client requirements into combined offerings. Walencik said his focus is on "giving our sales teams a clear direction."

The company set out three tasks for him: running an international sales team across four regions, tightening commercial processes, and pushing clients toward wider use of its product range. It did not say how many people report to him.

Sales Leadership Keeps Turning Over

Commercial hiring has been active across the sector this month. Eightcap named former IG head of retail sales Will Hardy as UK executive director on July 17.

Pepperstone appointed two Middle East heads two days earlier. Match-Trade has also seen movement at platform level, with Match-Trader head Alexis Droussiotis leaving and a replacement brought in to work on prop trading and prediction markets.

The sales expansion follows a run of product launches at Match-Trade, including a white-label prediction markets product in April and full MT5 integration.

The company has said server clients rose 290% between 2024 and 2025 and that the first half of 2026 puts it on course for a record year of client acquisition.
