Exclusive: MEX Spain appoint Ivan Gonzalez Serramia as CEO
- The move comes after the derivatives dealer received regulatory approval to operate in the Spanish market

Ivan Gonzalez Serramia has informed Finance Magnates that he has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the MultiBank Exchange Group’s (MEX) Spanish division. Gonzalez had previously headed up the derivatives dealer’s Spanish speaking division.
This may seem like a minor distinction but it is an important one. Until now, MEX had enabled users to trade in Spanish but focused its efforts on Latin America as it did not have regulatory approval from the Spanish authorities.
That has now changed as the firm has received regulatory approval to operate in Spain. This means the firm can start to openly target Spanish clients as it starts to operate from its Barcelona office. This seems to be a part of a coordinated effort to expand into Europe after the firm received German regulatory approval in December of last year.
