Fortress Appoints FX Veteran Jim Conklin As Managing Director
- Fortress Investment Group has appointed Jim Conklin as its newest Managing Director of its Singapore branch, following his departure from QFS Asset Management this past March.
Fortress Investment Group has appointed Jim Conklin as its newest Managing Director of its Singapore branch, following his departure from QFS Asset Management this past March.
This is the second executive move in as many months at Fortress, after it hired a new Gamification head in September. Mr. Conklin is no strange to Fortress, having worked there previously as a Portfolio Manager between 2005 and 2008, helping manage multi-strategy quantitative portfolios across a variety of asses classes including FX and G10 emerging markets.
Prior to joining Fortress, he worked in several senior level roles at QFS Asset Management as a Partner, Director of Research and Chief Information Officer. Before this role he also worked as the Head of Investment Research at FX Concepts, specializing in fixed income, commodities, and currencies.
