Anthony Noto has been appointed as the newest Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Twitter, succeeding Mike Gupta, who will stay with the company and serve as its senior Vice President of Strategic Investments, according to an official Twitter statement.

Twitter has been a notable inclusion to the world of finance and Equities recently, having culminated in the launch of its IPO last November. Across other avenues such as Forex , Twitter has carved out its niche as a powerful tool for social sharing and marketing, of which many firms and brokers now rely.

Mr. Noto will join Twitter, having previously served as Co-Head of Global TMT and Managing Director of Goldman Sachs’ investment banking group. Moreover, Mr. Noto also has ties to the National Football League (NFL), where he served as CFO for a period of two years.

He will serve as Mr. Gupta’s replacement, who has overseen CFO duties at Twitter since 2012. Both men are expected to take up their new respective roles within the next 30 days.
