FastMatch Names Paul Ainsworth as Its Global Head of Sales

Foreign exchange (FX) ECN, FastMatch has brought in UBS veteran Paul Ainsworth to serve in the newly created role of Global Head of Sales, whose appointment is tendered with immediate effect, according to an FXWeek report.

In his new role as the Global Head of Sales at FastMatch, Mr. Ainsworth will be based out of New York, where he will be reporting to the group’s Chief Executive, Dmitri Galinov. The hire is part of a renewed strategy to help grow FastMatch’s sales team, with Mr. Ainsworth managing the newly formed team.

Indeed, FastMatch is eyeing a three-fold increase of its sales team, which currently stands at just four personnel. The hires will help expand FastMatch’s client reach, which currently encompasses a broad spectrum of the industry.

Mr. Ainsworth joins FastMatch from UBS Investment Bank, having served as its Executive Director since 2011 in New York where he specialized in eCommerce FX sales. Additionally, he also worked at Barclays Capital as its Director, dating back to 2007.

Last month, FastMatch made headlines after it reported its volumes for the month ending October 2015.
