According to Peter Van Camp, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Equinix in a recent statement on the appointment: "Nanci is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience leading sales and marketing teams around the globe. Her expertise in enterprise technology brings a valuable perspective to our Board as we continue to pursue the nearly 350,000 enterprises that are experiencing a major transformation in IT."

"I'm extremely impressed by the Equinix leadership team, culture and mission. It is an honor to be joining the Equinix Board," added Ms. Caldwell in an accompanying statement.

Equinix made headlines back in Q3 after Integral Development Corp went live in Equinix’s LD4 data center back in September. The Equinix facility LD4 sits just outside of London, which is well utilized by the financial services industry for being the foreign Exchange (FX) data center – this location adds to an already existing location in the U.S., i.e. Equinix NY4.
