Global financial services firm BTIG LLC, has revamped its Chicago division with the hires of executives Michael Artim, Brandon Walsh, and Chris Karabelas to its FX desk, collectively serving as co-Directors of FX Sales.
BTIG has been in the forex business since 2012 with the inception of its New York base of operations. The new team is slated to report to Alan Circle and Martin Ferraro, the joint Co-Heads of FX at BTIG, as well as Anton LeRoy, BTIG’s Head of FICC (Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities). According to Mr. Ferraro in a recent statement on the hires, “they’re a well-regarded team and complement our existing FX coverage.”

Mr. Artim, Walsh and Karabelas most recently have experience together at Newedge Group in Chicago and will collectively serve at BTIG as Directors of FX Sales. “Expanding our FX desk is part of our strategic mission to provide a best-in-class offering to our clients. We’re looking to make additional hires of experienced FX sales and trading professionals over the next few months,” added Anton LeRoy in an accompanying statement.
