BNP Paribus has bolstered its Electronic Markets Team in London, adding Jean-Marc Friess, Michael Ferreol and Hugo Coppier, as the focus shifts towards the European launch of Centric, slated for October.
Commensurate with a dynamic market and shifting conditions industry-wide, BNP Paribus has already made a number of executive moves this summer, including Petra Wikstrom as its newest Global Head for FX and Paul Yang as its newest Head for Greater China.
BNP Paribus’ Centric is a multi-product, application-based platform, designed to help optimize business for Forex and other asset classes – the platform is slated to be launched in Europe in October.
All-In on Centric?
Mr. Friess, Mr. Ferreol and Mr. Coppier will all be reporting to Thomas Soede, BNP’s co-Head of Electronic Markets. In his new role, Mr. Friess will help augment product development for the Centric platform, as well as its other applications, including the FX+Cash bundle – he joins BNP from Global Trade & Transaction Banking (GTTB).
Alternatively, Mr. Ferreol is also coming over from GTTB, where he will work with Mr. Friess, managing the FX+Cash bundle operations.
Finally, Mr. Coppier is moving into the new role, having already been with BNP Paribus previously, albeit in a consultancy position. His primary objective will be to help streamline the launch and eventual distribution of Centric.
