The company has selected Mikhail Butrin as Managing Director, Chief Business Officer Capital Markets and Investment Banking in Russia and CIS. In addition, BCS added Bradley Duke to serve in a similar role for the UK, Europe, and the USA.

BCS Global Markets, which is a division of Russia’s BCS Financial Group and a key broker on the Moscow Exchange , said in a statement that the new appointments come within a wider context of the strategic restructuring intended to strengthen the firm’s expansion and development plans in Europe and North America.

In their new capacities, Mikhail and Bradley will be charged with the responsibility of growing profits and advancing the BCS offering while expanding its existing footprint in their respective regions.

Mikhail Butrin brings broad industry expertise and a robust track record of developing successful banking businesses, most recently serving as Managing Director at Barclays Capital. Earlier in his career, he worked as Managing Director of Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Bank and was then named as Co-Head of Global Banking in VTB Capital.

Meanwhile, Bradley Duke will join BCS coming from Knight Capital where he played a key role as head of Knight Direct Europe and Knight’s Hotspot FX business in Europe. He brings significant knowledge in the industry with several years of work experience at high profile venues such as Jefferies International, where he was responsible for developing the firm’s direct trading infrastructure for Europe and Asia.

Roman Lokhov, CEO, BCS Global Markets, commented in the official statement on the recent additions: “It is my pleasure to welcome Michael and Bradley to BCS, who both have excellent reputations in the market. This is the perfect time strategically for us to strengthen our senior team at a time when there is lots of business available for us to pick up as more competitors leave the market. We now have a very strong team, and I am sure our expertise will help us to achieve exponential growth.”

“With our ongoing business development drive, one of our key goals in Russia is to take the leading position in the domestic market for investment banking services, and to gain a key market share of business in the US, Europe and Asia,” concluded Lokhov.
