Barclays Plc has appointed Miray Muminoglu as its newest head of long-term unsecured funding and capital issuance, shifting roles from the bank’s fixed income financials division, according to a recent Reuters report.

Back in February, Barclays lost Fadi Attia, its director on the emerging market (EM) syndicate, snapping a three-year stint with the British bank – a replacement has yet to be announced.

He is presently the acting director of Barclay’s fixed income financials syndicate desk. The new move will see him joining the bank’s treasury capital markets Execution team beginning in April 2015, where he will report to Barclays' head of capital markets execution, Steve Penketh.

Mr. Muminoglu’s ascension also paves the way for John Wright, who will be moving over to the emerging markets syndicate to replace Muminoglu, where he will work in an expanded role that includes emerging markets financials.

Mr. Muminoglu has been a mainstay at Barclays for over a decade, specifically on its debt syndicate, where he has focused on financial institutions issuance in the European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Prior to Barclays, he worked in a senior level role at JPMorgan.
