Bank of America Corp today appointed Michael White as a director to its board, Finance Magnates has learned. White joins after recently retiring as chairman, president and CEO of DirecTV.
White is currently an advisory partner for Trian Fund Management, a group that helps the firm identify potential investments, formulate strategy and engage with management teams at public companies. He was the former CEO of PepsiCo International and former vice chairman and director of PepsiCo. He also brings with him additional experience as a management consultant for Bain & Company and Arthur Andersen.

Mike is a proven leader who will further strengthen an already deep board.
Chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan said: “Mike’s expertise leading consumer and technology businesses, working in regulated industries, his finance background, and his international perspective make him a great fit to help oversee the management team and the responsible growth approach to creating value for shareholders”.
Bank of America, one of the world’s most prominent financial institutions, serves individual consumers, small and middle-market businesses and large corporations with a range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk management products and services.
White, who holds a master’s degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University, was further endorsed by Bank of America Lead Independent Director, Jack Bovender, who said: “Mike is a proven leader who will further strengthen an already deep board.”
