Before joining Adyen, Mr. Thienpont served in a variety of senior roles at Ingenico, where he worked on its Management Board and as the Head of Mobile Payment Solutions.
According to Mr. Thienpont in a recent statement on his appointment, “It is currently a complicated and expensive process for merchants to connect to multiple systems provided by legacy players. Traditionally this has meant one connection for point-of-sale in every country and a different one for e-commerce which results in having transactions scattered across multiple platforms. I’m very excited to join Adyen, which offers a truly omni-channel payment solution in a single, global platform.
