Ullink, a trading and Connectivity solutions provider, has appointed Didier Bouillard to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), which will take effect from July 1, 2015, according to a Ullink statement.

As a result of the move, Bertrand Sciard, Ullink’s acting Interim CEO, will move to the role of Chairman.

Mr. Bouillard is currently Ullink’s Chief Revenue Officer, having garnered over 25 years of experience in senior leadership positions in the financial technology industry. Prior to joining Ullink, he worked as the CEO of Ubitrade and as the Executive Vice President at Sungard, among other roles.

Alternatively, Mr. Sciard assumes command of the Chairman position from Hans Gieskes, who will continue to work with Hg Capital as an Operating Partner.

According to Mr. Bouillard in a recent statement on the move, “The pressures on financial markets participants require their suppliers to offer ever-higher levels of service and support. With its market leading connectivity and trading solutions, managed service offerings and global presence Ullink is ideally positioned to respond. I am delighted to be offered the opportunity to lead Ullink in this hugely exciting phase of our development.”

“My role as Interim CEO was firstly to identify the right person to take Ullink forward. Didier brings a wealth of experience in operating international businesses in the markets that Ullink targets, and I am confident that Ullink will continue to grow and prosper under his leadership,” added Mr. Sciard in an accompanying statement.

Last month, Remium once again tapped Ullink for its connectivity solutions, helping build off an existing partnership between the two firms. The latest integration saw Remium utilize Ullink’s Market Making solution, building on an existing framework of Ullink’s DMA and connectivity platform.
