Standard Chartered Taps Damien Cummings as Global Head of Digital Marketing

Standard Chartered has secured the services of longtime digital marketing veteran, Damien Cummings.

Standard Chartered has appointed Damien Cummings as its newest Singapore-based Global Head of Digital Marketing, according to a Standard Chartered statement.

Mr. Cummings will officially be joining the Standard Chartered in June 2015 as its global head of digital marketing, where he will report directly to Sanjeeb Chaudhuri, Group Head of Brand and Chief Marketing Officer.

At Standard Chartered, Mr. Cummings will be tasked with the provision of both digital and mobile marketing thought leadership as well as strategy formulation and execution. He joins Standard Chartered from Philips ASEAN, where he served as the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Prior to Philips ASEAN, Mr. Cummings has garnered more than two decades of experience in the digital and marketing industry. Previous stops include Dell, Ogilvy, Citibank, Coca-Cola, NRMA, and McKinsey & Company.

According to Mr. Chaudhuri in a recent statement on the appointment, “I am delighted to welcome Damien to Standard Chartered. As a strategic hire for the marketing team, Damien will drive innovation and transformation in all aspects of digital and mobile marketing. I am confident that the appointment of an executive of this calibre will further strengthen the Bank’s brand and marketing leadership capabilities in the digital era.”
