JPMorgan Chase & Co has named James Ferguson as its newest head of its global alternative investment services operations following a sixteen-year stint with the bank.

Last week, JPMorgan Asset Management, an affiliate of JPMorgan, rehired longtime executive Jonathon Griggs as its director of applied research for the Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities group (FICC).

As the newest head of its global alternative investment services operation, Mr. Ferguson will help steer and manage strategic direction and product offerings, market coverage, investment prioritization, overall business, and profit-and-loss (P&L) decisions.

He replaces Stephanie Miller, the former director and executive responsible for alternative investment services – back in August she took over as head of the global fund services business.

Mr. Ferguson began his career at JPMorgan back in 1999 as its executive director, a role he held for over sixteen years. Prior to JPMorgan, he also worked as the director at TMA Investment Product Services for a period of three years between 1995 and 1998.
