Investec Recruits Guy Gillett to Its M&A Division

Investec has named Guy Gillett as the newest component of its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) business, where he will focus on both the leisure and retail sectors, specializing in private companies and private equity clients.

Just last week, Investec recruited the ex-Standard Bank DCM head Florian von Hartig in a bid to bolster its debts division. In his new role as the M&A head at Investec, Mr. Gillett will work alongside Garry Levin, Investec’s head of consumer operations.

Mr. Gillett joins Investec from Ternion Capital, having specialized in M&A and capital raisings. In addition, he also served in a senior level role as executive director at DC Advisory for over 15 years.
