Shift Forex Recruits ex-Barclays Exec, Paul Inkster to Head London Office

Shift Forex LLC has appointed Paul Inkster as its newest London office head, where he will focus on the firm’s consulting and sales efforts, according to a Shift Forex statement.

This is the second profile move in as many months at Shift Forex, when Justin Gilmore, one of the group’s co-Founders, parted ways with the consultancy and headed to Citadel Securities to work as its Global Head of eFX Sales in March.

Mr. Inkster is an industry veteran, having garnered over thirty years of experience in foreign Exchange (FX) markets across a number of institutions in the UK. He joins Shift Forex from Barclays, where he served as its London Director. In addition, he also held a number of senior management roles at Prudential-Bache, Credit Suisse-First Boston, Refco, Marex Financial and Man Financial.

According to Matthew Miller, Chief Operating Officer, Shift Forex LLC in a recent statement on the appointment, “Paul brings us deep expertise in business development, strategy, product development, marketing and communications across FX, equities, futures and options as well as CFDs and spread betting. Paul’s broad and varied experience and extensive network will enable us to better serve our UK and European clients and expand our reach into those key areas as well.”

“It is a fascinating time in the foreign exchange markets with significant unprecedented structural changes occurring. For me it is a great time to be working with Shift, a company with a vision and a mission to help clients build successful and sustainable businesses in this space, supporting foreign exchange firms through every stage of their development,” added said Inkster in an accompanying statement.
