A new brokerage company, BTFX, was launched today and Forex Magnates contacted the firm to get more details about its offering.

According to the company's CEO, Mark L Zammit, "The company has chosen Malta as a base of operations and regulation due to the educated workforce and the respectable regulatory organisation. The proximity of Malta to Europe, the Middle East and Africa allows us to have a solid base to easily break into these markets."

Being MiFid regulated is a must these days for any company willing to do legitimate brokerage business in Europe and apparently, according to the firm's choice of jurisdiction, Malta provides a better environment than Cyprus, which has been chosen by the vast majority of competitors for a more easily accessible regulatory environment.

BTFX obtained its licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) in March 2013, and it's licensed as a category 2 Investment services company, licence number IS/52844.

The company is offering an STP solution sourcing Liquidity from a major Europe based liquidity provider and owns a separate license for MT4. According to the company’s CEO, Mark L Zammit, the business model is STP and the firm's clients have access to a leverage of 100:1. Forex Magnates' reporters reached out to the newly launched brokerage based in Malta to ask some questions about the firm’s operations. The company’s CEO, Mr. Zammit, was kind enough to answer them.

Which are your target markets geographically?

We are looking at targeting Europe and all English speaking countries excluding the USA, Going forward we will be targeting the Middle East and Asia systematically including full customer support in the various languages aiming to provide the best customer support in the market.

What makes you believe that you can take up market share - what differs your offering from the plethora of other Forex brokerages?

BTFX is aiming to be a broker for many, but not for everyone. This means that we provide specific customer service to meet the needs of dedicated and serious traders. Our team of people are all market professionals and have vast financial markets experience. We emphasise that high liquidity, very low spreads and a high degree of customer dedicated service will make us stand out.
