Pimco’s Equities Head, Maisonneuve, Parts Ways With Group

The move comes on the heels of a recent initiative by the bond investment behemoth, which has consolidated its stock-investing focus. As a result, Pimco reported that it would liquidate two equity strategies: Emerging Markets, of which Ms. Maisonneuve oversaw, and Pathfinder, which is managed by Anne Gudefin.

Pimco’s Chief Executive Officer Douglas Hodge noted that the group’s equity business would remain an important part of the firm's investing but would concentrate on areas "more fully aligned with our capabilities and clients' needs."

Ms. Maisonneuve ascended to the role of Deputy CIO and Head of Equities at Pimco in March of 2014. Just nine months ago she was promoted to Managing Director, CIO, and Global Head of Equities. Prior stops include Schroders, where she served in a similar role for nearly a decade.
