The event brought together some of the sharpest financial minds.
This month marked the successful May 2025 edition of the Financial Times Alphaville Pub Quiz in London, proudly sponsored by Finalto.
The event brought together some of the sharpest financial minds for an evening of market minutiae, macro trivia and conversation. The evening was enhanced by good food, great company, and FT Alphaville’s special guest host, the great Carol Vorderman, added extra pizzazz to proceedings.
Robin Wigglesworth, editor of Alphaville, the FT's financial blog, commented: “Thanks in particular to Carol Vorderman, who really added some star power to proceedings, and Finalto, for being great partners and ensuring it was such a success. I can’t wait for the next pub quiz.”
Carol Vorderman & Finalto UK CEO Paul Groves
For Finalto UK CEO Paul Groves, the event reflects more than just a fun night out: “The Financial Times Alphaville quiz is a huge amount of fun, and it’s always inspiring to see such sharp finance minds in action. At Finalto, intellectual curiosity and diversity of thought are core values. We believe in supporting forums that celebrate curiosity and strengthen engagement. We were delighted to sponsor another highly successful event.”
Groves added: “Finalto is a technology-driven company that takes pride in our world-class trading infrastructure and financial technology. Whether it's a major industry expo or a general interest event, we’re always excited to help bring people together to share insights and ideas.”
