His background includes being an adjunct professor of Economics and Finance at George Washington University. Dr. Alchaar is a prolific author, producing books and scientific articles on banking and financial markets, with a particular focus on Islamic Economics and Finance.

His achievements have been widely recognised, earning him accolades such as the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Prize for Banking Excellence in 2006. Arabian Business Magazine ranked him as the eighth most influential business figure in the Arab World. He has also received two nominations for The Nobel Prize for his notable contributions to the development of Islamic Economics and Finance.
