Electronic trading volumes on ICAP’s EBS Trading Platform marked a decline in April. The foreign exchange business of UK’s largest inter-dealer broker have averaged $96.9 billion on a single count basis.

The figure is lower by 15% when compared to last month and about 41% higher when compared to last year. The figure reflects a drop in Volatility in foreign exchange last month, as expectations about tightening by the U.S. Fed have been scaled back and the U.S. dollar rally has grinded to a halt.
