The ACI UK, a trade association operating in the foreign exchange (forex), money and derivative markets, announced on Tuesday evening that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Society of Technical Analysts (STA).
ACI UK represents individuals engaged in professional trading, broking, operations, regulatory, and compliance activities. The STA is a not for profit organization which aims to bring a greater understanding of technical analysis to the global investment community.
Under the MoU, both associations will build on the synergy between their organizations, as both agencies are focused on the investment community. Together, they will develop and promote events and other activities to benefit their members.
MoU to increase education in investment space
Not only that but the agreement is based on the shared commitment between ACI UK and the STA to further educate and enhance professional development within this space, the statement said.

Sue Attwood, President of ACI UK, said: “I am delighted that we have the opportunity to combine our respective industry expertise with The Society of Technical Analysts, to collaborate on events that will enhance our educational programmes and provide considerable value to our respective member communities. We look forward to working with Eddie and his colleagues at STA and to getting the first co-hosted events off the ground.”
“ACI UK and the STA have a lot of common ground in terms of our respective member bases and the focus on community and education,” added Eddie Tofpik, Marketing Director, The Society of Technical Analysts.
“As a long standing member of ACI UK I have been impressed with the quality of their events and educational activities and look forward to exploring new opportunities with them that will benefit all of our members.”
MoU’s are a common way for associations, regulations, and organizations to collaborate on mutually beneficial issues. Last week, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) inked an agreement with the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) to support financial technology innovation.
