  • Takeprofit Tech's plugin credits promotional funds after deposits and adjusts them automatically when clients withdraw.
  • Campaigns can be limited by country or account group, while major CFD markets restrict retail trading incentives.

TradeLocker added Takeprofit Tech's Deposit Bonus plugin to its broker platform today (Wednesday). The tool credits a percentage of each deposit to a client's trading account and adjusts the promotional amount when the client withdraws funds.

For brokers using TradeLocker, the integration turns bonus administration into an automated account process. It also extends a relationship made public in February 2025, when TradeLocker added Takeprofit Tech's Liquidity Hub.

"For brokers, this integration means more flexibility and less manual work," TradeLocker CEO Dom Bradley said.

How the Automated Bonus Works

The plugin calculates the award as a percentage of a client's deposit. A broker can record the amount as either credit or balance, then configure the system to remove a corresponding share when funds leave the account.

Takeprofit Tech said brokers can define eligible account groups, countries and client categories. Campaign rules can therefore differ across entities or markets instead of applying to every TradeLocker account.

Takeprofit Tech has marketed the underlying Bonus Deposit product for MetaTrader since at least December 2020. The core mechanics are therefore not new.

Its public description already included percentage-based awards, a choice between credit and balance, and automatic adjustments after withdrawals. The companies did not disclose pricing for the TradeLocker integration or identify any changes to that logic.

The addition fits TradeLocker's broader effort to give brokers more acquisition and account-management tools. In May, TradeLocker opened a platform-level demo and broker comparison journey to traders without requiring them to select a provider first.

TradeLocker says it does not hold customer funds or process deposits and withdrawals. Those functions remain with the connected broker or prop trading firm, as do account permissions and the rules applied to each customer.

Bonus Functionality Predates the New Plugin

Automated bonus handling is already available elsewhere in the broker technology market. Match-Trade Technologies introduced a deposit bonus system for Match-Trader, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 in November 2021, supporting fixed or percentage awards and deductions upon withdrawal.

Match-Trade expanded that system in June 2024 so brokers could apply bonuses to the first deposit on each subsequent trading account, not only the main account. Spotware's cTrader also supports deposit, sign-up, trading and referral bonuses, with conversion rules set by each provider.

Under cTrader's documented model, promotional funds remain separate from the cash balance and can be used only alongside the client's own money. Brokers decide whether qualifying bonus funds can later be converted into withdrawable balance.

These systems sit alongside platforms including MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader in the broker technology market tracked by FinanceMagnates.com. The Takeprofit Tech integration brings comparable automation into TradeLocker's third-party ecosystem.

Bonus accounts on TradeLocker itself are not new. GatesFX advertised a bonus equal to 100% of deposits for TradeLocker and MT5 on July 17, 2025, with credit removed if equity fell below a stated threshold. Its material does not identify the technology used to operate the promotion.

Major CFD Markets Restrict Trading Incentives

The configuration options matter because deposit campaigns cannot be offered uniformly.

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) bars firms from giving retail clients monetary or non-monetary incentives when marketing restricted speculative investments. Its guidance explicitly includes account-opening bonuses.

European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) guidance likewise identifies account-opening bonuses and volume-based rebates as monetary benefits intended to encourage CFD trading.

In Australia, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission's CFD intervention order prohibits certain inducements to retail clients.

Those restrictions apply to specified products and client categories. They do not constitute a general prohibition on bonus-management software, leaving operators to map each campaign to the rules covering their entity and customers.

Takeprofit Tech said one broker had recently launched the plugin but did not receive permission to identify the customer. FinanceMagnates.com could not independently verify the deployment.

Campaigns can be limited by country, account group or client category, according to Takeprofit Tech. "Regulatory compliance, including restrictions on CFD incentives, is the responsibility of each broker," the spokesperson said.
