Based on the general volume of comments for Binary Options related articles, the product is falling into the ‘love ‘em or hate ‘em’ world of offerings. One of the frequent questions is in regard to hedging, or lack of it. Due to the risks, in the preliminary draft of regulation from the Japan FSA, hedging made the list of areas the regulators were reviewing.
While not fully addressing the issue of hedging, binary options provider MarketsPulse has announced an update to its Delta Hedging risk management program. The upgrade provides an enhanced view of risk exposure to assist brokers with hedging their order flow. Responding to whether the product can enable STP or automated hedging features based on preset risk exposure limits, a representative from MarketsPulse told Forex Magnates “We currently do not have an “STP”, that is, we do not offer integration with a liquidity provider to allow hedging, since there currently are no liquidity providers for hedging. We do provide the relevant financial data to support the operators who would like to hedge. If an operator does not want to take the risk we offer them the option to work with one of MarketsPulses’ reputable and regulated brokers that will handle the risk for them.”

Based on the above answer, it is safe to assume that we’ll soon be seeing specialty binary liquidity providers start to pop up soon to fill the gap for brokers seeking an automated hedging solution.

@Andy – yup, kinda cheesy when there are no detail. But I think they are just launching now, so Macau may be their first public marketing. I assume they’ll need to be a little more transparent if they want clients.
