The Autorité des marchés financiers, known as the AMF of France, has issued a warning of sixty nine binary options websites, adding nine new websites to the list and while removing four websites since its last warning.
The financial market regulatory agency in France known as the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), has recently announced an updated list of Binary options websites that it deemed unauthorized to offer investment services within its jurisdiction , according to an official press release by the regulator dated January 13, 2014.
Comparing with the last time the AFM published a list warning of binary option firms, in September 2013, there were sixty-four firms at the time, and in the new updated list there were nine new firms added, however there were also four firms removed from the new list (no longer being warned about), therefore the total number is now sixty-nine. The four firms no longer on the warning list include: 24option.com, euoptions.com, ezbinary.com, and zoneoptions.com. The January updated list was noted as dynamic and subject to changes and not meant to be exhaustive.
Below is a copy of the updated list, excerpted from the AMF website, describing the warning to investors about aggressive advertising campaigns on the internet, regarding binary options trading which offer very high returns in a very short time, as per the official text unofficially translated from French to English. The new list replaces the one published on September 12, 2013, and includes the following nine new additions bolded in black font, bringing the total to sixty-nine websites:
