Forex and CFDs brokers, Exness and RoboMarkets, have entered new sports sponsorship deals in Cyprus. While Exness says it is partly sponsoring this year’s Cyprus Wakesurf Championship, RoboMarkets is the main sponsor of the 56th European Sporting Championships.

Both events are scheduled to be held this month in Limassol, Cyprus, with the latter starting today. Exness announced its partial sponsorship of the wake surfing tournament on Wednesday, noting that it is “supporting local initiatives to promote sports and athletic tourism as well as promoting physical well-being at Exness.”

RoboMarkets Expands Sports Presence

The European Championship, which accommodates shooters from all over Europe, is part of Cyprus’ LEMESIA, a global sports festival that features various athletic competitions and cultural events. As the main sponsor of the championship, RoboMarkets says it will support the promotion of shooting sports across Europe.

“This partnership is an excellent opportunity for RoboMarkets to demonstrate its commitment to supporting local communities and fostering healthy competition,” RoboMarkets said in a statement shared with Finance Magnates.

With the new sponsorship, RoboMarkets continues its efforts to strengthen its brand presence in the sports industry in Cyprus. In November last year, the retail brokerage emerged as the ‘Gold and Title Sponsor’ of Cypriot sports club AEL Limassol’s women’s volleyball club.

The deal covered the team’s 2022 and 2023 seasons, including its participation in the Cyprus Major League. As part of the deal, the team was renamed after RoboMarkets.

Furthermore, in May last year, RoboMarkets signed a multi-year agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt, a German football club, covering its 2022-2024 season as a sponsor. In October, RoboForex, a sister brand of the broker, also entered a sponsorship deal with Cienciano, a Peruvian professional football club, as part of its strategic move to boost its popularity among Latin American football fans. The deal covered the club’s 2022-2023 playing season.

In 2021, outside of football, RoboMarkets extended its 2019 sponsorship deal with BMW M Motorsport for two racing events held during the year.
