Plus500 has announced yet another sports sponsorship today, with the London listed broker announcing that it has signed an agreement with the Italian football team, Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio to become its sole and exclusive sponsor.
Under the agreement announced today, Plus500 will be the main sponsor for Atalanta B.C. for three years commencing on the 1st of September 2020. This is the third sports sponsorship announced by the Israel-based broker this year, with the last one announced less than two weeks ago.
As the main sponsor, Plus500’s logo will appear on the front of the Atalanta B.C. jersey for both national and international games. Furthermore, the online CFD trading provider will have access to branding rights.
Atalanta B.C. is a professional football club based in Bergamo, Lombardy, Italy. The club was founded in 1907 and is one of the main teams in Italy’s top league. In the last four seasons, the team has finished in the top four of Serie A three times.
Commenting on the partnership, David Zruia, Chief Executive Officer of Plus500, said in the statement: “We are pleased to be partnering with Atalanta B.C., a club that is full of soul and has a special place in the hearts of the people of Bergamo. Atalanta is a rising power in Italian and international football, and we look forward to supporting them as they continue to grow and progress, particularly as they enter another season in the UEFA Champions League.

The company also partnered with BSC Young Boys Football Club in Switzerland earlier this year. With today’s announcement, the CFD trading provider now sponsors five major international sports teams.
“We are really happy to announce the partnership and thus welcome Plus500, a leading international company, which will be Atalanta’s main sponsor for the next three seasons,” added Luca Percassi, Chief Executive Officer of Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio in the statement.
“It is a great satisfaction for us to be able to collaborate with such a prestigious brand that will undoubtedly and significantly contribute to the Club’s growth. It is also a source of pride for us that Plus500, to help develop and strengthen its brand in Italy, has decided to forge this partnership with Atalanta.”
