Users reported on Monday that the web platform would not load and that the mobile app lagged and could not pull instrument data. Polish technology site ithardware.pl said reports built up on Downdetector.

Clients Complained for Hours, Shareholders Did Not
The first posts appeared at about 1:39 p.m. Warsaw time. "Is XTB not working for you either?" one user wrote, attaching a screenshot of the stalled platform.
Wall Street Cafe, an account run by a licensed Polish securities broker, posted in the same minute that "XTB decided today that I won't be placing my orders at the open."
By 1:52 p.m. another user called the platform "rock bottom" and said it still was not working.
Some clients were already shopping around. "Do you have any alternatives to XTB with low commissions?" one asked at 2:07 p.m.
Another described watching a position move without being able to check it: "your portfolio has gone up a lot ... you want to see why, but you can't, because the app doesn't work."
The problem was not confined to Poland. A service monitoring account posted that "XTB is reportedly down for some users right now," and a trader in Latin America wrote in Spanish that it had been unusable for more than an hour.
ithardware.pl put the disruption at roughly 30 to 40 minutes. The posts ran well past that, with complaints still appearing at 4:58 p.m., and XTB has not given its own timing.
The company did not publish a statement about the incident. It has not said what caused it or how many accounts were affected.
The Numbers Investors Are Watching Instead
The stock closed at a record that afternoon regardless. What shareholders were reacting to had been published four days earlier.
XTB reported preliminary second-quarter revenue of PLN 992.6 million and net profit of PLN 492.2 million on 31 July, beating Noble Securities' forecast by PLN 89.2 million, or 22.1%. The shares jumped 8.6% that day to close at PLN 147.68.
First-half operating revenue rose 79.7% to PLN 2.09 billion and net profit rose 150.5% to PLN 1.03 billion. The broker ended June with 703,333 clients.
Monday's failure was short by XTB's own history. In November 2025 clients could not close positions for around nine hours, and the broker suspended CFD trading for an hour to carry out repairs.
XTB blamed that incident on a technological limitation in the system moving data between its trading engine and its web and mobile platforms. It said 0.4% of 25 million positions were affected. The shares opened 0.7% lower the next day at PLN 70.92.
Poland's competition authority UOKiK has previously opened a probe into ten banks and brokers over repeated outages, XTB among them, to establish whether clients lost money.
Regulatory risk does move the stock. Shares fell 8% on concern that Poland's KNF would widen its review of CFD sales, the business line that still generates the bulk of the trading result even as investment products bring in the clients.
The Migration XTB Said Would Fix This
After the November outage, XTB said it was moving to a new platform architecture and targeted completion in the first quarter of 2026. Monday's failure came four months after that deadline.
The company has not said whether the migration is finished, or whether the systems involved on Monday were the ones it rebuilt.
