CFI Financial Group has inked a major sports sponsorship deal with the national basketball team of Jordan, the Forex and CFDs broker announced on Tuesday.

Under the terms of the deal, CFI has become the exclusive trading partner of the Jordanian basketball team, and the broker’s logo will be featured on the team’s jersey. In addition, the company will enjoy other exclusives and branding rights.

Furthermore, the national basketball tournament in the country will be renamed as ‘CFI Premier League’. The broker will extend its support to Jordan’s women’s and junior basketball teams as well, and its branding will be present on the courts too.

Commenting on the deal, Loay Azar, CEO at CFI Jordan, said: “We believe that the right partner will create two-sided success. In this case, CFI’s already established presence in Jordan, as well as its reputation and eminence for being a trading provider that caters and supports clients as more than just numbers.”

Moreover, he added that the partnership will reinforce the broker’s presence in Jordan and “solidify [the broker’s] bond with the country by supporting a successful local sport that has made all Jordanians proud.”

Demand for Sports Sponsorships

This is not the first such sponsorship deal of CFI as the broker signed similar deals with La Sagesse and Riyadi, Lebanon’s top two basketball teams. CFI also sponsors Formula E driver Oliver Rowland and his Nissan e.dams Formula E team.

“The partnership contract with CFI highlights their well-directed interest in a successful and highly followed sport like basketball. Given their history and growth, a company such as CFI is the type of partner we seek to build a relationship with for many years,” said Nabeel Abu Ata, the Secretary-General of Jordan’s Basketball Federation.
