  • It reported $6 billion in revenue and $2.3 billion pre-tax profit in 2025 while adding banking licences across key markets.
  • CFDs in 29 countries and 14 million crypto users strengthen Revolut’s lead in the super app race.
Revolut wins full UK bank licence

Revolut has secured a $115 billion valuation following a secondary share sale, cementing its position as Europe’s most valuable private company. The transaction, led by Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, primarily provides liquidity for employees and existing shareholders rather than raising new capital.

London's trading industry is coming home!

The company’s expansion is underpinned by sustained profitability: 2025 revenue rose 46% to $6.0 billion, while pre-tax profit increased 57% to $2.3 billion, producing a 38% pre-tax margin.

In 2026, Revolut launched full banking operations in Mexico, the UK, and Australia, secured a French banking licence, received approval to acquire Banco Cetelem in Argentina, and obtained preliminary conditional OCC approval for a US national bank charter.

Nik Storonsky, CEO & Founder of Revolut, commented: “Every bank we launch means more people get a better way to manage their money, wherever they live. Our team makes that happen, and employee ownership has been central to our culture from day one. That’s why we’ve once again given them the chance to share in the value they’ve created, as we work towards our next milestone of serving 100 million customers.”

Ahead of the Super App Race

Revolut quietly launched CFD trading in 29 countries, mostly in Europe, last year through CMC Markets’ infrastructure.

Separately, at least 14 million customers were fully onboarded crypto users as of October 2025, when they represented 22% of Revolut’s 65 million-plus customer base.

Targeting 100 million users by mid-2027, the fintech giant’s expanding banking footprint and rapidly growing trading offerings reinforce its position ahead of competing retail brokers striving to build integrated super-apps, including NAGA, XTB and Robinhood.
