Apex Fintech Solutions and FusionIQ are linking Apex’s clearing and custody infrastructure with FusionIQ’s digital wealth tools for financial institutions launching or expanding investment services.
The collaboration will allow mutual clients to pair Apex’s brokerage, custody and clearing capabilities with FusionIQ’s digital advice, self-directed investing, model marketplace and fin-TAMP tools.
Intended users include banks, credit unions, registered investment advisers (RIAs), and broker-dealers.
Instead of separately connecting a custodian, clearing provider and digital investment interface, these firms would get one implementation path through the two companies.
Apex Provides the Brokerage Back End
Apex will supply the regulated infrastructure for the investment service. Its offering covers brokerage operations and trading support, with custody and clearing provided through subsidiary Apex Clearing.
The wider Apex platform also includes tax reporting and cost-basis services, allowing a financial institution to keep its brand and customer relationships while outsourcing much of the infrastructure needed to run an investment product.
Apex has used a similar model with consumer-facing platforms. Cash App Investing selected Apex Ascend as a clearing platform earlier this year, while Coinbase uses Apex for clearing and order routing in its US stock-trading product.
FusionIQ provides the investor and adviser interface. Its platform supports self-directed investing, digital advice and adviser-assisted models, alongside digital onboarding and model portfolios. Institutions can use individual modules or configure a private-labelled wealth platform for their customers.
FusionIQ already lists Apex Clearing among its supported custodial integrations, together with providers including Pershing, Fidelity and DriveWealth. The new announcement turns that existing integration into a broader go-to-market arrangement.

Terms and Timeline Not Disclosed
The agreement follows FusionIQ’s June acquisition of digital wealth technology provider Marstone, which added investing, financial-planning and financial-wellness tools to its platform.
The companies said the combined setup is intended to reduce integration work and shorten the process of introducing investing or advisory services. They did not quantify expected implementation savings or give a target launch period.
No initial clients were named. The announcement also did not disclose pricing, exclusivity terms, supported asset classes or whether features such as fractional shares, options, margin or cryptocurrency access will be included in specific deployments.
