Mr. Patel joins XTX Markets from Goldman Sachs, having worked in a similar role in its e-Commodities team for over five years. He originally worked at Goldman Sachs and spearheaded the creation and implementation of the lender’s Commodities Electronic Trading business, dating back to 2010.

Prior to 2010, Mr. Patel worked at Crédit Agricole as a commodity trader, a position he held for less than a year.

According to Andonis Sakatis, Head of Business Development at XTX Markets, in a recent statement on the appointment: ”I am delighted to have Jigar join XTX Markets to head up our Commodities Business Development team. XTX is already a leading player in the metals and energy markets and we are now looking to further expand our client offering to these asset classes as traditional players withdraw from providing liquidity.”
