XS.com has hired Mariana Higa from rival broker Vantage as its regional marketing director for Latin America, the company said today (Tuesday). She will run its campaigns, sponsorships and industry events in the region.

The appointment is the second Latin America hire at XS.com since July, when it named Maria Pesca Santos regional director.

XS.com put its name on at least four trade shows in Peru, Colombia and Mexico this year, according to its own announcements, and those sponsorships now fall under Higa.

A Year of Regional Hires

Founded in Australia in 2010, XS.com counted eight regulatory approvals after adding a UAE license in October 2025, among them entities in Australia, Cyprus and South Africa.

Hiring picked up this year. In March it named former Exness manager Simon-Peter Massabni head of retail sales.

Omar Alaa followed in June as marketing director for the Middle East and North Africa, the third Exness veteran the company had hired in a row.

Pesca Santos, who is based in Colombia, previously handled Latin America marketing at Tradeview Markets. "Our approach to LATAM must reflect the diversity of its markets," she said of the new hire.

In July, former Alpari executive Emily Aghajanyan took charge of growth in emerging markets.

Three Brokers in Four Years

Higa joins from Vantage, where she worked remotely from Lima for two years, first as a growth team lead and from March 2026 as regional manager. XS.com said she led campaigns, sponsorships and events across Latin America in that job.

Before Vantage she spent seven months at HFM in account management and business development, and almost two years at Exness as a retail account manager from August 2022. The company put her total professional experience at more than ten years.

Higa said she saw a chance to "bring together regional market knowledge, creative marketing, and meaningful industry engagement across Latin America."

Her remit also covers marketing assets and media relationships. She will work with the sales and compliance teams so that campaigns stay within local rules, according to the release.

Rival brokers have also staffed up for the region. Tickmill promoted Brunno Huertas to regional manager for LATAM in October 2025, after he had led sales for the region at IronFX.

ATFX took a marketing route to a similar job in 2024, when it made Ergin Erdemir head of LATAM. He had joined its UK arm as head of marketing in 2018 and had expanded its business in Europe and Latin America before the promotion.
