In his new position Mr. Fitzsimmons will help manage and develop Wedbush Securities’ business operations, emphasizing the group’s development and strategic direction for the Futures and Treasury division. He will be based out of Chicago and report to Rich Jablonski, the group’s Executive Vice President.

Mr. Fitzsimmons joins Wedbush Securities from Coveney Trading LLC, a proprietary options trading firm of his own making. Previously he also worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Optionshop, having provided strategic direction and day-to-day operations for the online futures brokerage. Additional roles also include stints at ITG Derivatives and NQLX.
According to Mr. Jablonski, Executive Vice President and CFO of Wedbush Securities, in a statement on the appointment: "Bob's leadership and extensive experience perfectly positions him to oversee this division going forward. In conjunction with the executive team, Bob will assume a key role in the management and vision for our business, and we are happy to welcome him to Wedbush."
