According to Urs Widmer, Head Business & Market Development at SIX Swiss Exchange, in a recent statement on the appointment: “We are very pleased that Frédéric Messein has joined the team to lead the new SIX Corporate Bonds platform. His experience in the space of global fixed income projects will be instrumental to the development of our trading venue.”
Earlier this year, SIX’s Chief Executive Officer, Christian Katz parted ways with the exchange following a mounting divergence in the strategic direction of the organization. Mr. Katz had served as SIX’s CEO since 2009, during which time the Swiss Exchange catapulted itself into being one of Europe’s integral stock exchanges.
