Nomura Holdings Inc has restructured its Equities team, naming Daisuke Mototani as its newest Equities Head for Asia, succeeding Yasuhiro Fujiwara, who is poised to leave the firm.

Tokyo-based Nomura holdings has had a key vacancy to fill with the recently announced departure of Yasuhiro Fujiwara. In his new role as the Equities head in Asia, excluding Japan, Mr. Mototani will focus on developing the region’s business and equities capabilities.

Mr. Mototani is a mainstay at Nomura, having been with the group for over 25 years. In his most recent role at Nomura, he served as its Deputy head of Global Markets – Asia-Pacific (APAC) ) sales.
